PARIS / LJUBLJANA, 9th June, 2025 — UAE Team Emirates-XRG delivered a powerful statement on European roads this week, securing two standout wins through Tadej Pogačar and Ivo Oliveira in the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour of Slovenia, respectively.
In France, the opening stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné 2025 defied all pre-race forecasts as Tadej Pogačar, current world champion, launched a stunning late attack on the road to Montluçon. The Slovenian broke away in the final kilometers alongside elite riders Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) and Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step), eventually outsprinting them in a dramatic finale.
With his blistering win on stage 1, Pogačar claimed the race leader’s yellow jersey, setting the tone for what could be a defining summer. He starts today’s stage 2 at the front of the general classification with momentum clearly on his side.
