Abu Dhabi is set to host the 6th IMMAF Youth World Championships from 21st to 27th July 2025 at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. This marks the first time the prestigious event is being held in the Al Ain Region, with more than 1,000 male and female athletes from 60 countries expected to participate.
Organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and hosted for the fourth consecutive year by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, the championship underscores the solid partnership between the two federations and demonstrates the UAE’s leadership role in hosting major international sports events.
Abdulmunem Alsayed Mohammed Alhashmi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation, expressed his gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his continuous support of Emirati sports, and acknowledged H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his “generous patronage of the championship.” Alhashmi stated that this patronage “is a great motivation for the youth of the country to continue striving for excellence, and it helps strengthen the UAE’s position as a global hub for the development of mixed martial arts.”
The choice of Al Ain Region as the venue reflects its advanced infrastructure, modern sports facilities, and distinctive cultural and tourism offerings, making it an ideal destination for world-class sporting events. The region’s selection also highlights its growing reputation on the regional and international sports and tourism map, offering athletes and delegations the opportunity to experience the community’s authentic culture and heritage, thus promoting both cultural and sports exchange.
The organising committee, in collaboration with strategic partners, is working diligently to deliver an exceptional championship, aiming to exceed the expectations of both athletes and global fans. Their efforts align with the leadership’s vision to invest in youth and foster the development of future champions.
