Dubai Sports Council has announced the launch of its “Our Summer is Sporty” initiative, set to run until the end of August. The events will be held across various locations in Dubai, offering new and diverse activities including the city’s first-ever Snow Duathlon, indoor mall races, and snow-based stationary cycling competitions.
Organised in collaboration with numerous national institutions and sports event organisers, the initiative seeks to foster a culture of physical activity. It actively encourages all residents and visitors, regardless of age or nationality, to engage in summer sports. This pioneering community endeavour aims to further enhance the quality of life in Dubai, reinforcing its reputation as one of the most active cities in the world.
Participants can enjoy a broad array of sports activities, spanning beach, snow, water, mountain, women’s, and People of Determination events. The programme also includes competitive tournaments, training camps, and recreational activities, creating an inclusive community platform.
