Sharjah Media City (Shams) is gearing up to host a major eSports Championship on 28th and 29th June 2025. The highly anticipated event is set to unite a talented community of gamers and eSports enthusiasts from across the United Arab Emirates, in a bid to foster youth talent and deepen their engagement in the digital and media sectors.
The championship will showcase three primary competitions featuring some of the region’s most beloved video games. Participants can look forward to a team FIFA 25 tournament—where pairs join forces—with a substantial prize pool of AED40,000. For those who prefer to compete individually, a solo FIFA 25 contest is set to offer AED20,000. Additionally, lovers of fighting games will find high stakes at the Tekken 8 competition, which will also grant winners a share of AED40,000.
In total, the event boasts a remarkable prize fund of AED100,000, positioning it among the largest eSports events not only in Sharjah but across the UAE and the broader region in terms of both prize money and gaming diversity.
With this initiative, Sharjah Media City aims to further the eSports culture in the area, motivating more young people to compete in a professionally managed and encouraging environment. The championship is designed to reflect the interests of today’s digital generation, opening new avenues in media, entertainment, and creative industries for the nation’s youth.
