Mohammed Al Musabbi Secures Gold in Monaco Youth 1000m Race, Sets New UAE Record
MONACO, 12th July, 2025 – UAE athlete Mohammed Al Musabbi achieved a landmark victory by claiming the gold medal in the 1000-meter race within the youth category at an event held alongside the prestigious Diamond League in Monaco. The fiercely contested race saw the participation of 21 runners from elite European clubs, highlighting the competitive field that Al Musabbi overcame.
Recording a stellar time of 2:34.44 minutes, Al Musabbi not only secured first place but also set a new national record in the youth category. He successfully outpaced competitors from Italy and France, marking a significant milestone in both his personal career and the ongoing rise of UAE athletics on the international stage.
The UAE Athletics Federation stated that this achievement is a direct outcome of dedicated efforts to develop Emirati talent, supported directly by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council. This win is cited as part of a strategic plan to prepare promising generations of athletes, enabling them to compete in international championships and further elevate the profile of UAE sports globally.
