Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy Unveils Schools Sports Festivals to Nurture Future Champions
The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy (FBMA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, has launched a new series of “Schools Sports Festivals”. Running until November 2025, the initiative is focused on basketball and volleyball, inviting schoolgirls aged 13 to 17 to join a vibrant programme that aims to discover rising talent and prepare future champions for both local and international competitions.
The Schools Sports Festivals will include six events designed to identify outstanding young athletes and to integrate top performers into the academy’s official teams.
This initiative underscores the Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy’s unwavering commitment to advancing women’s sports in the UAE. Through supporting national talent development, expanding partnerships with the Ministry of Education and other educational institutions, the programme aims to foster a strong culture of sport among girls.
The first festival in the series has already taken place at the Academy’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi, where 70 students from five different schools participated, marking the beginning of a promising journey for young female athletes in the country.
