UAE Parachuting Team Shines at FAI World Style and Accuracy Landing Championship in Italy
RAVENNA, Italy, 27th July, 2025 – The UAE’s parachuting team achieved remarkable success at the FAI World Style and Accuracy Landing Championship, which concluded yesterday in Ravenna, Italy. The championship saw participation from some of the world’s top parachutists and skydivers, illustrating the high level of competition faced by the team.
Abdulbari Qubaisi emerged as one of the stars of the event by securing four medals. Qubaisi clinched a gold medal in the “Accuracy” category, demonstrating exceptional skill and precision. Additionally, he earned three silver medals in the overall ranking, “Distance,” and “Freestyle” categories. His performance was highlighted by achieving full marks in the first and second rounds, accumulating a total of 291 points to secure second place overall.
Another notable performance came from the national team skydiver Cornelia Mihai, who added to the medal tally by winning two medals: silver in the “Speed” category and bronze in the “Freestyle” category.
Mohammed Yousuf Abdul Rahman, General Secretary Emirates Aerosport Federation (EAF), praised the national team’s outstanding performance and thanked the Skydive Dubai team for their pivotal role in ensuring a successful preparatory stage.
