JOHANNESBURG, 1st August, 2025 – The UAE national 3×3 wheelchair basketball team has made a strong start at the 3×3 World Wheelchair Basketball Championship currently taking place in South Africa. The team secured an opening victory against Croatia with a score of 14-8 in Group A, which also features Britain, Egypt, and Kenya.
The national team players delivered a distinguished performance characterized by focus and fighting spirit, giving them the upper hand from the first minutes until the final whistle. The team is scheduled to play three important matches today against Egypt, Kenya, and Britain, with hopes to continue their positive results and advance to the final rounds.
