UAE Pro League Announces Shortlists for 2024–2025 Best Awards Ceremony
The UAE Pro League has officially unveiled the final shortlists for the 2024–2025 UAE Pro League Best Awards Ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on August 9 at the prestigious Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental.
One of the most coveted honors, the Golden Ball—awarded to the Best Player of the Season—will see a fierce contest between Mehdi Ghayedi from Kalba, Sardar Azmoum representing Shabab Al Ahli, and Caio Lucas of Sharjah.
In the Golden Boy category, which celebrates the Best Player Under 23, the nominees are Brahima Diarra from Al Wahda, Guilherme Da Silva from Shabab Al Ahli, and Siaka Sidibe from Al Wasl.
For the prestigious Golden Glove recognizing the Best Goalkeeper of the Year, the shortlist features Ali Khaseif from Al Jazira, Adel Alhosani of Sharjah, and Hamad Almeqbaali representing Shabab Al Ahli.
The Leader award, acknowledging the season’s Best Coach, will be contested by Paulo Sousa of Shabab Al Ahli, Milos Milojevic from Al Wasl, and Olaroiu Cozmin of Sharjah.
The nominees for the Fans’ Player of the Year include Mohamed Elneny from Al Jazira, Lucas Pimenta from Al Wahda, and Fabio De Lima representing Al Wasl, reflecting their impressive impact both on and off the pitch.
For the Best Goal of the season, the shortlist boasts Soufian Rahimi from Al Ain FC, Nabil Fekir from Al Jazira FC, and Omar Khribin of Al Wahda FC, all recognized for their stunning strikes throughout the season.
Additionally, the Professional Excellence in Club Licensing award finalists are Al Ain, Al Jazira, and Al Wahda. The Fans League award, highlighting the most passionate supporter base, will go to either Al Wasl FC, Al Ain FC, or Al Jazira FC.
The upcoming ceremony promises to be an exciting culmination to the season, with the winners set to be celebrated for their outstanding contributions to UAE football.
