Hero Dubai Desert Classic Launches Global Sustainability Challenge for Events Sector
The Hero Dubai Desert Classic has unveiled the Green Incubator Challenge, a global crowdsourcing initiative aimed at finding sustainable solutions to address the impact of climate change on the events sector. The innovative program has been launched in collaboration with Deloitte, presenting an opportunity for entrepreneurs, start-ups, students, and companies worldwide to contribute impactful ideas.
Participants are invited to submit both new concepts and ready-to-deploy solutions designed to enhance sustainability within the sports and entertainment industries. The winner of the challenge will earn the unique opportunity to see their solution implemented at the 2027 DP World Tour and Rolex Series tournament.
The main objective of this initiative is to drive meaningful change and accelerate innovation in event sustainability. By leveraging the creative potential of a global network, the challenge emphasizes the importance of collective action in mitigating the effects of climate change within large-scale events.
Key milestones of the challenge include the announcement of a shortlist of submissions on 18th November, followed by the selection of three finalists on 19th December. These finalists will present their innovative ideas to a panel of expert judges during the week of the 2026 tournament.
