Abu Dhabi Sports Council has announced the launch of the “Into the Night Golf Series” this coming October, delivering a unique experience for golf enthusiasts by offering play under the lights at three of Abu Dhabi’s premier golf courses.
The competitions will span three consecutive weeks, launching on 4th October at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club, followed by the Abu Dhabi City Golf Club on 11th October, and culminating at Yas Acres Golf & Country Club on 18th October. Each event will start at 4:30 pm in a shotgun format.
Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of Events Sector at Abu Dhabi Sports Council, stated that the Into the Night Golf Series reflects the council’s commitment to developing the sport and expanding its player base across all levels, from juniors to amateurs.
He also highlighted that the initiative marks a step forward in supporting athletes on their path to international recognition, coinciding with the rapid growth and wider community interest in golf within the UAE.
The tournament will employ a Stableford format over 18 holes and is open to players of all ages and categories—men, women, and juniors. Series winners will receive special opportunities, such as participation in the Pro-Am rounds of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship.
As part of its dedication to nurturing youth, the series also includes activities for juniors through the “Future Falcon” programme, in cooperation with the Emirates Golf Federation.
Qualifying rounds will be conducted at the three participating clubs, culminating with finals at the renowned Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship at Yas Links Golf Club from 6th to 9th November.
