Abu Dhabi to Open ADREA School on Jubail Island Fifth Global Institution Dedicated to Classical Horsemanship

Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts School Set to Open on Jubail Island Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) school will officially open its doors in November 2025 on Jubail Island, Abu Dhabi. This milestone will mark the inauguration of the fifth global school dedicated to the art of classical horsemanship, joining venerable institutions in Austria, Spain, Portugal, and France. Spanning 65,000 square metres, ADREA is crafted as a fully integrated environment devoted to the preservation, performance, and teaching of the haute école tradition of equestrian art. Every feature of the estate embodies a horse-first philosophy—from the thoughtful design of the facilities and training methodologies to the emphasis on harmony and welfare, ensuring the highest standards of comfort, care, and cooperation between horse and rider. The campus boasts a climate-controlled arena with room for 1,200 spectators and 60 air-conditioned stables, each equipped with advanced monitoring systems. Additional highlights include a comprehensive veterinary facility, rehabilitation clinic, multiple training arenas, and shaded riding tracks—all providing an optimal setting for both horses and athletes. Cultural, educational, and artisanal spaces within ADREA are dedicated to safeguarding horsemanship knowledge and transmitting it to future generations. The Furussiya Gallery features a curated collection of rare artefacts, mapping the rich history of horsemanship across different civilisations and eras. The school is also home to one of the world’s most extensive equestrian libraries, housing more than 10,000 volumes to encourage further study and inspire imagination. Notably, the UAE’s first equestrian saddle-making atelier will be established within the school, reviving and advancing craftsmanship at the highest level. Education is the cornerstone of ADREA, beginning with the Junior Academy and extending to a comprehensive four-year Rider Degree programme. The academy warmly welcomes young riders, including Children of Determination, and offers accredited pathways that nurture talent and potential across every stage of development.
