Bahrain Table Tennis Association Chairperson Receives ITTF Official In a key step toward bolstering international sporting collaboration, Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Bahrain Table Tennis Association, recently welcomed Bart Vermoesen, Event Director at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), as part of preparations for a major global sporting event. The visit centered around Bahrain’s readiness to host the upcoming ITTF World Youth Championships, set for November 21–28. The prestigious event is expected to attract young table tennis talent from around the world, positioning Bahrain as a significant hub on the international table tennis stage. During his visit, Vermoesen conducted a detailed inspection of the Association’s competition hall, which will serve as the primary venue for all championship matches. He also assessed the quality of the designated hotels that will accommodate the participating delegations, ensuring compliance with international standards for athlete and team comfort. The agenda featured a high-level meeting between Bahraini officials and the ITTF representative, in which the parties reviewed key organisational and logistical arrangements critical to the smooth execution of the championship. Discussions included venue readiness, transportation protocols, accommodation logistics, and health and safety measures.
