Emirati athlete Mohammed Othman clinched the bronze medal after an intense race, clocking 15.04 seconds. The contest for medals was fierce until the closing moments. Thailand’s Chaiwat Rattana won gold, completing the sprint in 15.00 seconds, while Australia’s Rheed McCracken took silver, also finishing in 15.04 seconds. Othman’s exceptional final push secured him third place by just a fraction of a second, underscoring the high level of competition. His teammate, Ahmed Nowad, put forth a strong effort and placed seventh with a time of 15.59 seconds.This success adds to the gold medal previously achieved by Emirati athlete Thekra Alkaabi, who dominated the women’s 100m T71 race at the same championship, further strengthening the UAE’s presence on the international stage. The UAE National Paralympic Committee highlighted that these accomplishments are a testament to the preparedness, dedication, and competitive spirit of the team.
