BIC to Bring Fun and Excitement on Track with Back-to-Back Experiences this Weekend The famed Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), widely recognized as “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, is set to inject a powerful dose of excitement into the 2025/2026 Sakhir season this weekend with two thrilling days of back-to-back public events. On Friday, October 3, early risers and fitness fans can gear up for Batelco Fitness on Track, a community-driven event focused on promoting physical activity in a unique motorsport setting. Running from 6am to 10am, the event allows participants to either walk, run, or cycle on designated portions of BIC’s world-class track. Runners and walkers will utilize the 2.550-kilometre Inner Circuit, while cyclists will take on the 3.543-kilometre Outer Circuit. A special area will also be open for children’s cycling to make it a fun family outing. Entry fees are modest, with rates set at just BD2 for cyclists and BD1 for runners. Children under 12 years old can join for free when accompanied by a paying adult. For regular visitors, BIC offers a Batelco Fitness on Track Season Pass priced at an affordable BD15, granting access to all fitness events through to April 2026 — a great value for health seekers looking to commit to wellness over time. Then, on Saturday, October 4, the energy at BIC surges to another level with its popular Track Experiences, letting motorsport fans get behind the wheel or ride shotgun in some high-performance racecars. Slated from 8am to 3pm, the experience invites participants to unleash their inner racer by choosing among options including the Renault Clio Cup, Radical SR1, and Radical SR3 — each offering its own brand of thrill. Those new to motorsport can ease into the action with a Clio Cup Driver Experience behind the wheel of a 1.6-litre turbocharged hatchback, following a lead vehicle driven by a professional instructor. For those preferring spectating from the passenger seat, the Clio Cup Passenger Experience allows adventure-seekers to buckle up for a fast-paced lap with a trained driver at the helm. Participants looking to step it up can test the limits with Radical SR1 and SR3 race cars. The SR1 delivers a raw encounter, featuring a spine-tingling 185bhp engine ideal for both amateur and seasoned drivers. Note: entry into the SR1 drive is conditional upon completing the Clio Cup drive. Meanwhile, for fans chasing heart-pounding acceleration, the Radical SR3 Passenger Experience offers a rush from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, all under the guidance of BIC’s expert instructors. As for pricing, the Clio Cup Driver Experience is available for BD121, while the Clio Cup Passenger Experience is priced at BD27.500. The Radical SR1 Driver Experience is offered for BD132, and the Radical SR3 Passenger Experience comes in at BD38.500. These premier activities are only a few highlights of what promises to be a dynamic 2025/2026 calendar at BIC, which continues to host a rich variety of motorsport and lifestyle events through April 2026. Bookings and additional details are available at bahraingp.com or by dialling the BIC Hotline at +973-17450000.
