Rising star Mubarak Saeed led the medal haul with a victory in the 3,000m, showcasing his long-distance dominance. In the 400m hurdles, Abdulrahman Mohammed secured another gold for Qatar with an impressive run. Among the women, Dana Salem sprinted to gold in the 100m junior women event, and Maryam Al Salik took top honors in the 3,000m junior women category, confirming Qatar’s strength in both track endurance and speed. The team’s medal count was further boosted by Abdulrazzaq Idris, who earned a silver in the 400m hurdles, and Saleh Mahmoud, who claimed silver in the shot put competition. Thanks to these performances, Qatar currently leads the overall standings in both youth and women’s categories at this four-day regional championship, underscoring the nation’s growing prowess in athletics and its investment in developing young sporting talent.
