Abu Dhabi Announces Open Masters Games Blueprint Training Programme in Lead-up to 2026 Games
The Supreme Organising Committee of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 has unveiled the Open Masters Games Blueprint Training Programme, a wide-reaching initiative designed to prepare the local community for the upcoming international sporting event. The programme, which will run until 2 February 2026, will offer free training sessions at Khalifa Square, Zayed Sports City Majlis, and HARAKA gym.
Structured as a lead-up to the 2026 Games, the Blueprint Training Programme features a diverse mix of activities tailored for all ages and fitness levels. Highlights include family fitness workouts featuring games and challenges for every family member, walking sessions to foster movement and build community connection, mobility training aimed at improving flexibility and reducing stiffness, strength exercises to build confidence and stability, and functional fitness classes to boost energy, endurance, and overall performance.
According to the Supreme Organising Committee, the initiative captures the vision of the Games: to inspire the wider community to embrace sports, foster vitality, and celebrate health and passion across all age groups. The programme reflects the values of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, particularly the belief in accessibility—that sport and physical activity should be open to everyone, regardless of age or experience.
The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 is set to be the largest international multi-sport event ever hosted in the Middle East. Scheduled from 6 to 15 February 2026 in Abu Dhabi, the event will bring together over 25,000 athletes competing in more than 30 different sports. Notably, the Games will include six heritage sports that highlight the UAE’s national identity and cultural legacy.
Participation is open to all individuals aged 30 and above, with no restriction on previous experience or sporting level, in keeping with the philosophy of lifelong sports and the principle of sports for all.
