Royal Golf Club Holds Official Reception for Tour 10 Championship
The Royal Golf Club hosted an official reception to mark the upcoming Tour 10 Golf Championship, scheduled to take place from November 6 to 19, 2025. The event, held for the first time in the Kingdom, brings together a select lineup of amateur golfers from across Russia, Europe, and Central Asia, with participation from 40 international players set to compete in this prestigious championship.
The Kingdom of Bahrain has proudly welcomed a total of 55 international participants and guests, including players, supporters, and officials. This influx reflects Bahrain’s rising profile as a destination for international sporting and tourism events, and further cements its position as a hub for major global activities.
Rapidly gaining prestige, the Tour 10 Championship is recognized as one of the world’s most promising amateur golf tournaments. The tournament began its first edition in Russia, and for the 2026 season, Bahrain is honored to host the second installment, before the championship continues to Dubai and then Turkey. These events are part of an expanding international calendar aiming to develop amateur golf and elevate global competition standards.
“Bahrain continues to attract valuable international sporting events, demonstrating successful integration of sports and tourism,” said Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism. She emphasized that the championship represents a platform for cultural exchange, fosters international connections, and merges athletic competition with Bahrain’s renowned hospitality. Further, she noted that initiatives like these bolster Bahrain’s status as a trusted global partner and support national strategies to diversify the economy, especially by growing the sports tourism sector into a sustainable contributor.
Captain Waleed Abdulhameed Al Alawi, Chairman of the Royal Golf Club, reaffirmed the club’s commitment to excellence in hosting international events: “We aim to provide an exceptional experience for all participants, players, officials, and visitors, upholding the highest standards of organisation and professionalism.” He noted the club’s strategic role in promoting sports tourism, as part of a broader effort to attract international visitors and further elevate Bahrain’s regional leadership in both sports and tourism.
The reception featured formal welcome addresses, an overview of the championship’s goals, and the announcement of participating players from various nations. The gathering underscored the Royal Golf Club’s dedication to fostering a strong international sports presence in Bahrain, all within a celebratory and elegant atmosphere.
