LISBON, Portugal, 28th November, 2025 — An enthralling three days of golf concluded at Portugal’s PGA Aroeira, where Ludovico Addabbo captured an impressive victory, finishing 18-under par to claim a three-shot win over local favourite Pedro Figueiredo at the season-opening event of the MENA Golf Tour.
The triumph marks Addabbo’s first-ever professional victory, a career milestone that also netted him the $18,000 winner’s share from the tournament’s $100,000 prize fund. Addabbo demonstrated consistent form throughout the week, initially sharing the co-lead on day one with Scotland’s Sebastian Sandin before taking the outright lead by the end of the second round.
The PGA Aroeira Challenge served not only as the first of twelve tour events this season but also as one of a series providing Official World Golf Ranking points and significant prize money. Immediately following is the Rolear Algarve Classic at Amendoeira from 2nd to 4th December, the second consecutive event in Portugal.
After Portugal, the Tour moves to Egypt for four events in January and February, before continuing on to Morocco. There, a special mid-season Q-Sprint on 22-23 February will offer additional players the opportunity to join the Tour or strengthen their category status.
