In a stunning end to a trailblazing chapter, Steven Taylor has chosen to officially step down as head coach of Al Qabila FC, closing the curtain on a dazzling run that delivered promotion.
Speaking exclusively to us, Taylor reflected on the whirlwind campaign:
“A very interesting season, that finished positively with the collective goal of promotion. 4 promotions in 4 consecutive years! Another rollercoaster season in UAE football, with plenty of ups and downs. Couldn’t have been done without the work and commitment of Sam White behind the scenes, before the team saw it out on the final day of the season with a great result to confirm the promotion.”
The English tactician reserved his deepest gratitude for the squad:
“All of my thanks goes to the players for their respect, patience, consistent performances & dedication to a cause throughout the season, no matter the situation.”
With immediate effect, Taylor has stepped away from the Al Qabila (365 FC) project — a venture that has rapidly transformed into one of the most fascinating Football stories of the UAE: His statement:
“I would also like to announce that I am stepping away… and wish the club the greatest of success in their division 2 campaign next season. I look forward to seeing where the project goes in the near future”
While this chapter concludes, Taylor left us a teaser that his story has more to come:
“A new project is on the horizon, this is the most exciting one yet…”

Pappis Cisse, Dimitri Volarevic and Boniek Henrique have been goal scoring machines in the run down to promotion, will we see them wear the Al Qabila Shirt next season or will they need to bring in new firepower?
