Kazma and Al-Shabab showcased their strength with dominant performances in the ongoing Volleyball Federation Championship, securing straight-set wins in the second round of action. Kazma temporarily tops the championship standings with three points after a commanding 3-0 victory over Naser at the Volleyball Hall of Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. The result places them ahead on set difference. In another key fixture of the round, Al-Shabab also triumphed with a 3-0 win against Al-Arabi, positioning them second in the standings. Despite the defeat, Al-Arabi holds third place, tied with Al-Shabab on points, but trailing on set difference. The current standings see Kazma leading, followed by Al-Shabab in second and Al-Arabi in third. Meanwhile, Qadsia sits on two points, Burgan has one, while Yarmouk, Naser, Kuwait Club, and Sulaibikhat have yet to register a point. In preparation for a strong season, Kazma has fortified its squad by acquiring national player Abdullah Al-Mulla and appointing Brazilian head coach Kakaru. The team has also added Brazilian professionals Costa and Adimar, along with experienced local talent Fahad Al-Saad. These additions reflect the club’s ambition to excel in domestic competitions and perform strongly in regional tournaments.
