Sharjah Sports Council successfully organised the Khorfakkan Clouds Cycling Race on 26th October, 2025 to coincide with Arab Cycling Day, attracting a remarkable turnout of around 200 male and female riders. The event, which featured a 27 km race and a 24 km round, was held in cooperation with several sponsoring and supporting entities and institutions.
The 27 km race saw intense competition across several categories. In the male nationals’ category, Yousef Amiri claimed first place, followed by Rashid Al Blooshi in second, and Hilal Al Harbi in third. For female citizens, Marwa Al Qahwar took the top spot, with Hala Mohammed and Noura Al Ghafli coming in second and third respectively.
In the open men’s category, Kirill Miller secured first place, while Ibrahim Al Rifai and Salman Al Mansouri finished second and third. The open women’s category was won by Maddie Ballack, with Isabella Darby and Masha Bykovskaya earning second and third places.
The event was attended by Dr Yasser Omar Al Doukhi, President of the Arab Cycling Federation; Mansour Bu Osaiba, President of the UAE Cycling Federation; Dr Ashraf Imam, Secretary-General of the Arab Cycling Federation and President of the Sudanese Cycling Federation; and Sultan Al Obaidli, Events Executive at the Sports and Community Events Department at the Council.
