UAE Marine Sports Federation Reviews Strategic Directions for 2026–2028
The UAE Marine Sports Federation has recently reviewed its strategic directions for 2026–2028, placing a strong focus on enhancing technical and administrative frameworks, nurturing national talent, and preparing teams for international competitions.
This review occurred during a coordination meeting with the Ministry of Sports at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah. The meeting was attended by prominent figures, including Sheikh Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Assistant Undersecretary for the Sports Development and Competitiveness Sector; Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Vice President of the Federation; Khalid Khamis bin Dasmal, Secretary-General; and Abdulaziz Al Hossan, Advisor to the Sports Competitiveness Sector.
The Federation emphasized that the meeting aligns efforts to strengthen coordination with national sports bodies and fits within wider strategies to develop the sector. These initiatives are in accordance with the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President of the Federation.
During the meeting, participants discussed Olympic-related priorities and programmes aimed at identifying and nurturing national talent to boost the UAE’s presence in upcoming Olympic Games. The need to bolster cooperation and partnerships with various entities was also highlighted to support the country’s ambitions on the regional and international sports stage.
