BAKU, 26th May, 2025 (WAM) — The UAE national team concluded its journey in the first round of the Minifootball World Cup on a high note, securing a 4-1 win against Argentina in their final Group G match. The emphatic performance earned the team 3 well-deserved points, providing a strong morale boost despite falling short of qualification for the knockout stages.
The UAE had earlier faced stiff competition in Group G, suffering defeats against the Czech Republic (2-9) and Georgia (0-2), with both of those teams advancing to the Round of 16. The 2025 Minifootball World Cup is being hosted in Baku, Azerbaijan, from May 21 to June 1.
