Dubai is gearing up for an exciting sporting highlight as the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has announced the return of the second edition of the Dubai T100 Triathlon Weekend. Scheduled from 13th to 16th November 2025, this event is organised in collaboration with the Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and promises to be bigger and better than ever.
For the 2025 edition, registration will be open to both amateur triathletes in the competitive 100km race—featuring a 2km swim, 80km bike ride, and 18km run—and in the Sprint distance category, which consists of a 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run. This expansion aims to encourage broader community engagement and make the thrill of triathlon accessible to more participants.
Ahmed Al Khaja emphasized the event’s importance, highlighting that “the event reflects Dubai’s commitment to strengthening its global standing in sports tourism and aligns with the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.” He also recalled the previous edition’s success in 2024 and expressed confidence that this year will attract even greater international attention and benefit the Dubai economy.
Eisa Sharif shared, “For 2025, we are working closely with the PTO to expand all three race categories. In addition, we will introduce a Schools Event and a Corporate Relay, further enhancing community engagement and reinforcing our vision of promoting healthy, active lifestyles to improve the quality of life in Dubai.” He also highlighted the world-class calibre of participants, stating that the T100 brought together some of the world’s best triathletes, including Olympic champions, and celebrated the crowning of the first-ever men’s and women’s T100 World Champions: Belgium’s Marten Van Riel and America’s Taylor Knibb.
Sam Renouf expressed enthusiasm about the growing prestige of the event, stating, “The 2024 Dubai T100 Triathlon was a huge success, quickly becoming a bucket-list race on the new T100 World Tour. We’re thrilled to be building on that momentum by creating more opportunities for amateur athletes—and now, corporate teams—to participate in a festival-like celebration of swim, bike, and run around the iconic Meydan Racecourse.”
The 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour has already crossed major cities such as Singapore, San Francisco, and Vancouver, with the next race set for London in August.
