UAE to Host Inaugural European Tour Group Sustainability Awards 2025 in Dubai
The European Tour Group has announced that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will serve as the host for the European Tour Group Sustainability Awards 2025. The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 12th November 2025 in Dubai, coinciding with the prestigious season-ending event of the DP World Tour Championship, the final stage of the Race to Dubai.
This year’s awards will feature a hybrid-format ceremony that aims to recognize groundbreaking efforts and innovations in sustainability within the world of golf. The accolades will be distributed across five key categories: Venues, Staging, Operations, Tech and Innovation, and Catering. Winners will be selected from three main regions: Europe, the Middle East, and the rest of the world.
The call for entries is currently open with a submission deadline of midnight on 2nd October 2025. Eligible projects must be initiatives or ventures executed between 1st September 2024 and 1st October 2025.
Award recipients will be chosen by a noteworthy judging panel comprising leading specialists in golf tournament operations and sustainability. This group includes representatives from the acclaimed GEO Sustainable Golf Foundation.
A notable highlight for the region is that nine tournaments in the Middle East—including seven held in the UAE—will be eligible to compete for top honors in sustainability.
The event underscores the ongoing commitment of the European Tour Group and its Green Drive sustainability programme, which has pledged to halve operational and tournament greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve net-zero carbon status by 2040.
