Bahrain Club Lift Arab Table Tennis Title
Bahrain Club were last night crowned champions of the 36th Arab Table Tennis Clubs Championship, which came to a close in Muscat, Oman.
Bahrain Club secured the title for the first time in the competition’s history after a commanding 3-1 victory over Egypt’s Enppi Club in the final.
Their road to glory began in the round of 16, where they swept past Kuwait’s Yarmouk with a 3-0 win. This was followed by a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Qatar SC in the quarter-finals, showcasing their resilience and tactical prowess. In the semi-finals, Bahrain Club triumphed 3-1 over Saudi Arabia’s Al Ittihad, punching their ticket to the gold medal match.
Following their historic achievement, Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Bahrain Olympic Committee board member and president of the Bahrain Table Tennis Association, congratulated His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the kingdom’s sporting leadership for the momentous victory.
