UAE Riders Aim for Eighth Individual and Third Team Title at World Endurance Championship in Romania

UAE Riders Set Sights on Further Glory at FEI World Endurance Championship for Juniors and Young Riders The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation has announced that the participation of UAE riders in the FEI World Endurance Championship for Juniors and Young Riders, set over a challenging 120 km course in Romania on September 20, represents a fresh opportunity to build on the nation’s continuing tradition of global equestrian success in both team and individual categories. Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of the Federation, highlighted the impressive track record of the UAE in the championship, stating that their riders have previously won the individual title seven times and the team title twice. This strong history, he emphasized, “strengthens their ambitions to further increase their record of global achievements in the new edition.” Dr. Al Raisi also referenced the landmark achievement in Castelsagrat, France, in September 2023, when the UAE not only won but successfully retained the world title, providing “motivation for the riders in Romania to compete for an eighth title for the UAE, the fifth consecutive in the individual category, and the third in the team category—further consolidating the UAE’s position on the global achievements map.” Expressing his “gratitude and appreciation to the wise leadership” for their enduring support, Dr. Al Raisi noted this backing has empowered UAE riders with the skills and capabilities essential to compete at the highest levels, enabling them to “raise the nation’s flag on international podiums.” He also acknowledged the role of Sheikh Rashid bin Dalmouk Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Equestrian Club, for his dedicated oversight and efforts in supporting UAE riders throughout their preparations: “providing them with all the requirements for excellence and brilliance, and crowning these efforts with major achievements, most recently winning the team and individual gold medals at the World Endurance Championship for Young Horses in France.” The UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation further recognized the critical contributions of the stables and technical staff who have meticulously prepared the UAE’s riders and horses for this upcoming international event, ensuring that they are ready to demonstrate “high competitive spirit and reach the winners’ podium.” Team V.4-EM-UAE
