Tbilisi prepares for BRAVE CF: Georgia vs the World after weigh-ins Tbilisi is set to host a high-stakes night of mixed martial arts competition as the city welcomes BRAVE CF: Georgia vs the World on Friday at the New Sports Palace. The event is being held in cooperation with the Georgian Fighting Championship (GFC) and is part of the fifth edition of BRAVE International Combat Week “Georgia 2025”, organised by the Bahrain-based BRAVE Combat Federation. The official weigh-ins concluded successfully, confirming the much-anticipated main event: a clash for the interim lightweight title between Georgian fighter Raul Tutarauli and Dutch contender Pieter Buist. This bout promises a high-octane showdown as both fighters bring elite credentials into the cage. In the co-main event, Georgian bantamweight Lasha Abramishvili is set to face off against Tajikistan’s Khurshed Nazarov, another exciting contest that has stirred fan anticipation. Adding to the international flavor of the card, Pakistan’s Ismail Khan will square off against Azerbaijan’s Elmir Jafarov, representing a fierce regional rivalry. However, not all went according to plan during weigh-ins. Three athletes — Giorgi Gretko, Raymond Jowett, and Nikolay Atanasov — failed to make the weight limit. Their respective bouts will now proceed at catchweight. Despite these adjustments, a total of nine bouts have been officially confirmed for what is shaping up to be a premier combat sports showcase. The event is expected to unite top local talent with prominent international fighters, highlighting Georgia’s growing status as a hub for mixed martial arts. It promises to be a landmark night for the sport in the region, drawing fans, athletes, and officials from around the world to Tbilisi. Team V.DIR-EM-UAE
