Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA): The Middle East’s New Home for Classical Horsemanship
Abu Dhabi, UAE — November 1, 2025
Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts (ADREA) is set to become the Middle East’s new home for classical horsemanship with its official opening on 1st November 2025.
Spanning a 65,000-square-metre estate on Jubail Island, ADREA is dedicated to the preservation, performance, and teaching of the haute école tradition of equestrian art. With its inauguration, ADREA joins the ranks of four storied institutions in Austria, Spain, Portugal, and France, marking a significant milestone in the region’s equestrian and cultural landscape.
A Landmark Opening Ceremony
The grand opening will unfold over two days, from 1st to 2nd November 2025, offering the public a rare opportunity to witness a historic celebration of classical horsemanship.
For the first time, all four heritage schools of classical equestrianism will perform together on one stage with ADREA — a unified tribute to centuries-old artistry.
-
The Spanish Riding School of Vienna will present its legendary Lipizzaner stallions in the elegant Ballet of the White Stallions.
-
The Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Arts will capture the passion and tradition of Andalusia’s famed dancing horses.
-
The Portuguese School of Equestrian Art will showcase the precision and heritage of the Lusitano horse.
-
The Cadre Noir de Saumur will mesmerize audiences with their unique integration of haute école horsemanship and performing arts.
At the heart of the occasion, Abu Dhabi Royal Equestrian Arts will debut its own ensemble of riders and horses — establishing the UAE’s first permanent home for classical horsemanship. This debut will introduce a new dimension to the art form, blending Emirati heritage with the haute école tradition.
