HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Highlights BREEF’s Commitment to Progress as New Season Begins
As the curtain rises on another promising season of equestrian competition in the Kingdom of Bahrain, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF), has reaffirmed the Federation’s deep commitment to progress, development, and excellence in equestrian sports.
The new sports season is set to commence with the highly anticipated first show jumping event on Friday, November 7, slated to take place at the Military Sports Association field at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Al Raffa.
In a statement, HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah said, “The start of the new season represents an important milestone in the Federation’s ongoing journey of excellence and leadership, reflecting the Kingdom’s achievements across various equestrian disciplines.” He went on to commend the vital role played by the organisational and technical committees in preparing for a successful and well-managed season that upholds the highest standards of competition and professionalism.
BREEF continues to stand as a symbol of the Kingdom’s equestrian ambitions, a sentiment echoed by HH Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah, who underlined the Federation’s pride in the advanced level attained by the sport in Bahrain — a result of unwavering and “unlimited support provided by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa” and “the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.”
Further emphasizing the strategic guidance contributing to Bahrain’s global equestrian stature, His Highness expressed gratitude and admiration for “the vision of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa,” His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and Honourary President of BREEF.
He continued to praise “the tireless efforts of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa,” First Deputy Chairman of SCYS, President of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), for his continuous support, especially in equestrian and endurance sports. These collective efforts, he added, “have contributed to strengthening the Kingdom’s position on the global equestrian map.”
BREEF remains focused on achieving its mission of sustainable development in the sport by executing comprehensive plans and programmes. These are aimed at expanding Bahrain’s influence on the international equestrian stage, by supporting young riders, improving infrastructure, and organising elite competitions that align with the high standards expected by followers of this noble sport.
As Bahrain gallops into its new equestrian season, the passion, dedication, and far-sighted leadership driving BREEF’s vision ensure the journey ahead will not only uphold tradition but also create meaningful strides toward future successes.
