Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup Showcases Prestige at VeronaFiere
The ninth and penultimate leg of the second edition of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup unfolded in grand style yesterday at the VeronaFiere Exhibition Centre in Verona, Italy. This leg marked a significant European stop for the event’s global tour.
Distinguished attendees at the championship included Abdullah Ali Al Saboosi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Harbi, Director General of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) and Vice Chairman of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup (EAHGC) Committee, who participated in the presentation of awards. Numerous officials and Arabian horse owners from across Italy also graced the occasion.
This edition brought together 98 horses from approximately 72 owners, with competition categories spanning yearling fillies and colts, 2- and 3-year-old horses, as well as mares and stallions. The event culminated in final championship rounds that crowned this year’s gold medalists.
The championship’s concluding competitions on Sunday featured standout victories:
- “Pavala RA” won the Yearling Fillies Championship gold for owner Czeslaw.
- In the Junior Fillies Championship, “Sana OS” brought home gold for Lubochnia Arabians.
- “Siena Del Palazzo”, owned by Cannata Giuseppe Antonio, claimed the gold in the Senior Mares Category.
Among the male horse categories:
- “Tofaan Sweetat” took the gold in the Yearling Colts Championship for Mg Arabians S.N.C.
- “STY Elijah” triumphed in the Junior Colts Championship for Steylaers Giovanna.
- “Jasmin Z” won the Senior Stallions Championship for owner Angelo Pasi.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Society emphasized that the championship continues to reinforce its international standing, with the Italian stop reflecting not only the event’s growing global momentum but also the UAE’s leadership in supporting both Arabian horse owners and breeders. The championship, according to the EAHS, “underscores the UAE’s commitment to preserving authentic Arab heritage and advancing the worldwide presence of the Arabian horse.”
The second edition of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup will conclude with its tenth and final round in Kuwait next month, following a journey through ten countries on several continents.
This Italian leg coincided with the renowned Fieracavalli Exhibition, established in 1898, which stands as one of the world’s preeminent equestrian events. The exhibition seamlessly integrates sport, culture, tourism, and innovation, and annually attracts over 700 exhibitors from 25 countries, representing diverse sectors such as equestrian equipment, horse breeding, rural tourism, and food and veterinary products.
