Dubai Premier Padel P1 Concludes with Record-Breaking Success and Showcases UAE’s Global Sports Vision
The second edition of the Dubai Premier Padel P1 wrapped up triumphantly on Sunday at the Hamdan Sports Complex, delivering exceptional sporting action, sold-out crowds, and cementing a new milestone in the international sports calendar. This prestigious event underscored the UAE’s ambition to solidify its reputation as a global sporting hub.
After a week marked by high-intensity matches and record attendance, Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello emerged victorious in the men’s category, while Claudia Fernandez and Bia Gonzalez claimed the women’s title. Both finals electrified a packed arena, with fans treated to world-class play in the transformed venue.
Special individual honors were awarded, with the Oysho MVP Award going to Bia Gonzalez and the DAMAC MVP bestowed upon Agustín Tapia.
Dignitaries present at the finale included H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, who presented the trophies to the winners, alongside Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association.
Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor, the tournament was organized collaboratively by Gallop Global, the Dubai Sports Council, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA).
This year’s event marked a major transformation of the venue; the venue’s 10-lane Olympic swimming pool was completely converted into a padel arena with seating for 8,000 spectators, making it the largest indoor padel venue in the MENA region. The redesign featured four professional-grade courts and greater capacity for spectators and media, demonstrating Dubai’s adaptability and its ability to repurpose infrastructure for global sport.
“The Dubai Premier Padel P1 reached a new level this year. Packed arenas and incredible fan energy demonstrated how Dubai is rapidly establishing itself as a global hub for world-class sporting and entertainment events. The transformation of the Hamdan Sports Complex into the largest indoor padel stadium in the MENA region is proof of what Dubai can achieve when ambition meets innovation,” said Ivan Modia, CEO of Gallop Global and Tournament Director of Dubai Premier Padel P1.
This edition brought together top-tier international talent from the Premier Padel circuit, reinforcing the sport’s expanding global footprint and Dubai’s emergence as a premium destination for international sporting events.
In light of this year’s resounding success, the Dubai Premier Padel P1 is set to return in 2026, continuing its ascent as a flagship fixture for the Middle East and a prominent stop on the Premier Padel global tour.
