Alia Abdulsalam to Make History as First Emirati Woman in Formula 4 Powerboat World Championship
Alia Abdulsalam is set to become the first Emirati woman to compete in the Formula 4 Powerboat World Championship, marking a remarkable milestone for Emirati women’s sport. Her international racing journey for the 2025 season will kick off at the Norway Grand Prix on 15 August, followed by her participation in Italy’s leg of the Championship on 16 September, one of the season’s most prestigious and competitive events.
A formal sponsorship agreement has been announced between Nirvana Holding and 9Yards Communications with Emirati powerboat racer Alia Abdulsalam Firoz. Under this agreement, both entities will act as the official providers of travel, tourism, and media services for Alia’s local and international ventures in Formula powerboat racing.
This move demonstrates their mutual commitment to supporting national talent and empowering Emirati women, particularly within marine sports, while also strengthening their presence on both regional and global platforms.
The signing took place in the presence of Omar Al Ali, CEO of Nirvana Holding, who highlighted the Group’s dedication to developing Emirati sports. Quoting Omar Al Ali:
