Ministry of Sports Concludes its Summer 2025 Activities with Participation of 43,000 People
The Ministry of Sports and Youth has officially wrapped up its Summer 2025 activities, marking an impressive season with the participation of over 43,000 individuals. The wide-ranging programme spanned more than 750 sports and youth events conducted across various regions of the country.
In a statement, the ministry attributed the success of the summer initiatives to the collaborative efforts of both governmental and private sector partners. These included the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Municipality, Ministry of Social Development and Family, the Qatar Sports for All Federation, National Cyber Security Agency, Education City, Qatar Museums, along with numerous sports clubs, media channels, and community organizations.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to continuing community and youth programs throughout the year, aiming to strengthen the role of sports in society. These efforts are part of supporting the broader Qatar National Vision 2030, which aspires to build a conscious and active generation.
Among the key initiatives highlighted this summer was the awareness programme “Aware Generation”, which engaged 1,163 youth participants across 28 youth centers and organizations, supervised by five certified trainers. In another popular initiative, the Hina Salma Farm event drew 4,686 young men and women from various youth and girls’ centers, achieving a daily average of 158 attendees per center.
The diverse summer programme included sports, recreational, and awareness activities, held at iconic venues such as Lusail Sports Arena, Education City Stadium, and Al Furjan playgrounds, in addition to public parks throughout the country. Noteworthy initiatives also encompassed the year-round 365 Days of Activity, Self-Defence Program, Steps Challenge, and a host of youth-focused events at community centers catering specifically to young men and women.
These initiatives reflect a strategic approach by the Ministry to integrate sports and wellness into the daily lives of citizens, underlining its vision to nurture a vibrant, skilled, and socially aware youth population.
