UAE Youth Muay Thai Team Achieves Record Success at World Championships The UAE Youth Muay Thai National Team has reached a historic milestone in Emirati sports, amassing an unprecedented 96 medals at the conclusion of the Youth Muay Thai World Championships. The tournament, which unfolded over seven days in Abu Dhabi, showcased the skills of more than 1,200 athletes from 100 countries and six continents. With its largest-ever delegation of 122 athletes—including members of the Para Muay Thai team—the UAE made waves across various divisions and weight classes. The team’s spirited performance resulted in a haul of 40 gold, 21 silver, and 35 bronze medals, earning them the highest overall tally among participating nations. Ultimately, the UAE ranked second overall, trailing only the neutral athletes competing under the International Federation of Muay Thai’s banner, who claimed 94 medals (53 gold, 26 silver, 15 bronze). This landmark achievement underscores the impact of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation’s strategic vision in cultivating local talent, boosting player development, and leveraging national competitions to prepare and refine Emirati athletes. Held under the auspices of the International Federation of Muay Thai, the Youth World Championships Abu Dhabi 2025 offered not only intense competition but also a diverse program of workshops, educational activities, and training sessions for coaches and referees. These elements strengthened the UAE’s standing as a global hub for martial arts.
