Jeddah Season Gearing Up to Host 4th Round of F1 Powerboat World Championship
Jeddah, one of Saudi Arabia’s leading cultural and recreational hubs, is preparing to host the fourth round of the Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship, also known as the Jeddah Grand Prix, from November 27 to 29, 2025.
This world-class sporting event is part of Jeddah Season 2025, a dynamic entertainment and tourism initiative that showcases the city’s growing profile as a regional events powerhouse. The upcoming race will feature elite international teams and powerboat professionals vying for championship points on the Red Sea waters.
The official flag handover ceremony for the Grand Prix took place recently in Shanghai, China, symbolizing Saudi Arabia’s readiness and commitment to hosting the adrenaline-filled sport. The ceremony was attended by Nicolo di San Germano, the founder and international organizer of the F1 Powerboat World Championship.
The selection of Jeddah as a host city follows an ambitious strategy by Saudi Arabia to attract global sporting events, bolstering its position on the international sports map and contributing to the goals of Vision 2030. The Red Sea coastal city, already known for major motorsport events like Formula 1 and Formula E, is expected to be an electrifying venue for powerboat racing.
The Jeddah Grand Prix will not only offer thrilling on-water competition but is poised to deliver immersive experiences for fans and families as part of the broader Jeddah Season festivities, which combine sports, culture, and entertainment.
