Fujairah Martial Arts Club has announced the selection of Mozon Issa and Salma Al Naqbi, both accomplished taekwondo athletes, along with fencer Abdullah Al Samahi, to join the prestigious Sports Talent Care and National Sports Support Programme. This move underscores the club’s commitment to nurturing sporting excellence and highlights the continued development of combat sports in the emirate.
Nader Abu Shawish, Director of Fujairah Martial Arts Club, emphasized that this achievement “reflects the high quality of diverse talents within the club, the significant development in combat sports, and the outstanding achievements accomplished in the name of the UAE, under the support of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah.”
The club’s advancing reach is evident in its collaboration with key entities, such as the Ministry of Education, in support of the talent programme. The club marked a milestone by signing the first agreement of its kind between an educational body and a sports club. In addition, the club’s “Future Generations” initiative has already involved more than 800 male and female athletes, shaping pathways for the next wave of national champions.
Further contributing to its growth, the club has embraced digital transformation, leveraging advanced technologies and artificial intelligence. These tools are actively used by athletes and coaches to build scientific foundations for nutrition plans, training methods, and scheduling, as well as for all essentials that support athletic progress and development.
The Fujairah Martial Arts Club continues to serve as a national role model for innovation, talent development, and partnership in the United Arab Emirates’ vibrant sports sector.
