Abu Dhabi is poised to host the 22nd Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX), a signature event that continues to reinforce the emirate’s status as a global centre for cultural heritage and sporting excellence. Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers’ Club, the exhibition is scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 8, 2024 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
This year’s exhibition is themed “Sustainability and Heritage… A Reborn Aspiration”, underscoring the event’s dedication to preserving the UAE’s rich heritage while promoting environmentally conscious practices in hunting, equestrianism, and related fields. ADIHEX has grown to become the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and Africa, annually welcoming exhibitors and visitors from more than 120 nations.
The event encompasses a dynamic range of sectors, including hunting weapons, equestrian equipment, falconry, outdoor sports, arts and crafts, and conservation initiatives. It serves as a platform for both industry professionals and enthusiasts to engage, exchange knowledge, and experience the latest innovations.
Significant emphasis will be placed on youth engagement and intergenerational dialogue, as organizers aim to equip the new generation with a deep understanding of sustainable practices and Emirati traditions. A rich accompanying program of workshops, live demonstrations, and cultural displays is set to captivate audiences.
Notably, the exhibition will feature international pavilions, with countries showcasing cutting-edge products and promoting collaboration in areas such as wildlife protection, veterinary science, and outdoor sports gear.
A spokesperson for the organizing committee stated: “The exhibition represents a unique bridge between the past and the future, combining centuries-old customs with tomorrow’s innovations to inspire responsible stewardship of our heritage.”
With an expanding footprint, ADIHEX 2024 is expected to attract a record number of participants and visitors, affirming Abu Dhabi’s pivotal role in the preservation and celebration of traditions while paving the way towards a sustainable future.
