Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship Concludes, Honouring Top Studs and Owners
The prestigious Emirates Arabian Horse Breeders Championship drew to a close on Friday evening after four remarkable days of competition, distributing top titles among prominent studs and celebrating the finest specimens of Arabian horses in the nation.
Organised by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), the championship took place at the main hall of the Butheeb Equestrian Academy. This year’s event featured an impressive turnout with 421 horses representing 216 owners, highlighting the growing passion for Arabian horse breeding across the UAE.
The final day kicked off with the Yearling Fillies category. Sultana BHM from Bin Humaila Stud clinched gold, while Balkis Al Noor of Al Noor Stud secured silver. Falheh Al Hawajer, owned by Ghanem Al Hajeri, completed the podium with bronze.
Competition remained intense in the Junior Fillies Championship, where Sheikha Alyah, owned by Mohammed Abdullatif Al Ali, captured gold. Lillian Alsaad, under the ownership of Adel Omar Al Marzouqi, took home silver, followed by Haya Al Fahaid (owned by Mohammed Saeed Al Hajeri) with bronze.
In the Senior Mares Championship, J.M.H Hajer delivered a standout performance, winning gold for owner Juma Al Shemeili. MZ Rafigah brought silver to Khalifa Al Noaimi, with Roaah Mughaider (owned by Rashid Saif Al Zaabi) earning the bronze medal.
The Yearling Colts Championship saw JS Romeo secure gold for Abdullah Abdulrahman Al Baydaei. Lahoob TH of Al Thuraya Stud took silver, while Gharbi Alyah (owned by Hamad Ahmed Abdullatif Al Ali) walked away with bronze.
A closely-contested Junior Colts Championship ended with A L A Sinjar achieving gold for owner Mohammed Buti Alabduli. Silver was awarded to Sarab BHM for Bin Humaila Stud, and bronze to Dahim Al Jawaher of Al Jawaher Stud.
The event culminated with the Senior Stallions Championship. Ramz Alyah, owned by Mohammed Ahmed Abdullatif Al Ali, triumphed with gold. JS Al Sultan of Al Jawaher Stud claimed silver, while Falah Al Hawajer (owned by Ghanem Al Hajeri) secured bronze.
While the Breeders Championship wrapped up, the Arab Breeders Championship commenced on Friday afternoon at the Butheeb Academy. The launch drew 103 horses from around 57 owners, setting the stage for more thrilling contests. The first day featured Yearling Fillies (Sections A and B), Junior Fillies aged two and three (Sections A and B), Mares aged four and above, and Yearling Colts (Sections A and B).
Looking ahead, Saturday’s schedule includes competitions among Junior Colts (Sections A and B) and Stallions (four years and above), culminating in six championship finals: Yearling Fillies and Colts, Junior Fillies and Colts, and the Senior Mares and Stallions titles.
The championship not only highlighted the outstanding quality within the UAE’s Arabian horse breeding community but also fostered camaraderie, excellence, and a passion for preserving the rich heritage of this majestic breed.
