Fujairah Dressage Championship Set to Highlight Equestrian Excellence at Fujairah Fort Arena
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, the Fujairah Dressage Championship will take place on 24 November at the historic Fujairah Fort Arena. This prestigious event forms part of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships, further strengthening the Emirate’s status as a premier destination for equestrian sports both nationally and regionally.
The Higher Organising Committee of the Fujairah Equestrian Championships announced at a press conference that all technical and organisational preparations for the one-day competition have been completed. The championship will feature 70 riders from the UAE and internationally, who will compete under International Equestrian Federation regulations, demonstrating precision, control, and harmony between horse and rider through a series of approved movements.
Dr Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi highlighted the significance of the event, stating that hosting the Dressage Championship at this time aligns with the ongoing series of international championships in Fujairah, which reflect the vision and support of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi to further the Emirate’s presence in diverse equestrian competitions. According to Dr Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, “The Fujairah Dressage Championship is a critical stage within this year’s Fujairah Equestrian Championships, given its high technical value, requiring skill and precise harmony between horse and rider. It supports participation from riders of all levels and strengthens Fujairah’s position on the international equestrian calendar.”
He also expressed gratitude to the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, their partners, supporters, and the media for their continued dedication to the championship.
Ali Musabah Al Kaabi emphasized the international appeal of the event, noting that the championship attracts a diverse group of riders and this edition will feature particularly intense competitions, showcasing participants’ evolving skills and passion for dressage.
Sultan Khalifa Al Yahyai underlined the importance of dressage in demonstrating both the elegance and athletic capacity of the horses, and praised the organising committee’s efforts to provide a top-tier, internationally competitive environment.
Commenting as a strategic partner, Eng. Awad Al Seiari expressed pleasure about Etihad Water and Electricity‘s involvement, highlighting the championship’s role in promoting equestrian sports as a core element of Emirati culture, and upholding the values of courage, harmony, and skill inherent in the sport.
At the close of the press conference, the Higher Organising Committee welcomed all participants and attendees, reaffirming its readiness to host a day of top-level competition that showcases the technical excellence of the riders and upholds Fujairah’s high organisational standards in international event hosting.
